Here at Classical Consortium Academy, we offer our students more than just strong academics. Their spiritual development founded in the wisdom of God's Word is a high priority. Every Monday begins with chapel that includes singing led by our student worship team, devotional by a Rhetoric Student, and a weekly charge by Headmaster Jennifer Burns. Every class in our course of study seeks to bring students to a deeper and fuller knowledge of who they are in Christ and their role in God's plan. Students have opportunities to live out their faith through service projects during Enrichment Weeks.
Rounding out your student’s academic life with fun and enriching experiences is important. We strive to be not just a rigorous academic program, but an authentic community through our enrichment offerings. We build community together through worship, serving, exploring, socializing, making new friends, competing together, and celebrating. Here are just some of the ways we build community together:
Thursday Enrichment Day
CCA Showcase/Talent Show
Four times throughout the year, we will focus on life enrichment. Teachers will reduce the normal workload in half to allow us to concentrate on serving others and having fun together. Each Enrichment Week will consist of a field trip opportunity on Wednesday and a service project opportunity on Friday. Our Enrichment Week schedule for the coming year:
Week of Labor Day (September)
Week of Columbus Day (October)
Week of President’s Day (February)
Week of Teen Pact (April)
CCA is working with an educational travel company to arrange exciting trips to Springfield, Illinois; Washington, D.C.; Italy/Greece; and Israel. Details will be shared as they become available.
Classical Consortium families organize social activities for our students called BEST events. Our students create lasting friendships and fun memories through events like Epic Air, Feed My Starving Children, Pinstripes Bowling, Cantigny Park, Christmas Cookie Decorating and more! Our students also have the opportunity to participate in our fun-filled Orientation, Science Fair, CCA Showcase, Springfield and Washington D.C. field trips, and Graduation.
Classical Consortium Academy is affiliated with HEART (Homeschool Enrichment Achieved Respectfully Together).
HEART is a nine-month, weekly program for homeschooled children from kindergarten through high school that supplements the teaching they receive at home through qualified instruction in the areas of art, science, Spanish, and physical education. In addition, students may choose between a variety of exciting electives.
For more information, please visit the HEART website at http://www.hearthsenrichment.org
Note: HEART is a separate enrichment/non-academic program that is not required for CCA.
